How to get to Yala National Park

Yala National Park is the second largest wildlife park in Sri Lanka and it is the most visited wildlife national park in Sri Lanka. Yala National Park is popular among the tourist visiting Sri Lanka because of the high leopard density. Yala National park is easily accessed via southern expressway from Colombo International airport which takes about 4 hours and 28 minutes. If you are staying at Tissamaharama it is around 45 minutes to Yala National Park from a vehicle. If you are coming around Arugam Bay it will take around 4 hours and 43 minutes to access Yala National Park. If you are looking for a morning or afternoon and full day safari in Yala National Park it's better to stay in Tissamaharama.
